FEICA, the Association of the European Adhesive & Sealant Industry, is a multinational association representing the European adhesive and sealant industry. With the support of its national associations and several direct company members and affiliated members, FEICA coordinates, represents and advocates the common interests of our industry throughout Europe. In this regard FEICA aims to establish a constructive dialogue with legislators in order to act as a reliable partner to resolve issues affecting the European adhesive and sealant industry. FEICA is a member-oriented, value-driven organisation representing the European adhesive and sealant sector. Engaging with legislators and providing guidance to the industry on EU regulatory affairs and the safe use of our products. Providing advocacy and a platform for industry dialogue and knowledge sharing. The adhesive and sealant industry is a continuing success story that spans hundreds of years. The history of bonding is a fascinating tribute to human ingenuity. Bonding and sealing play an essential role in thousands of everyday items. Not only do adhesives and sealants make these products possible; in many cases they also enable manufacturers to produce them in a more cost-effective and environmentally-responsible manner. More than 4.5 million tonnes of adhesives and sealants are produced and used in Europe each year, and this volume is growing every year. Adhesive manufacturers offer more than 250,000 different products for the most diverse applications. Offers stimulating careers for people with a wide range of skills. FEICA can trace its origins back to the first meetings of vegetable adhesive producers in the late 1950s. In 1967 producers of synthetic adhesives were invited to join the meetings and in 1972 FEICA was founded. Today, FEICA’s members comprise adhesive and sealant manufacturers, national adhesive and sealant associations, channel partners, and the institutes and associations of related industries. FEICA works with its members to create a powerful voice for the adhesive and sealant industry in Europe, constantly seeking to improve the economic and legal landscape for the industry. FEICA is the European voice of the adhesive and sealant industry. Our industry is a success story that makes many everyday products possible, contributes to the economy, fosters sustainable development, encourages innovation and offers stimulating careers for people with a wide range of skills. FEICA represents the adhesive and sealant industry at European level and works with all relevant stakeholders to create a mutually beneficial economic and legislative environment. In early 2014, FEICA's Executive Board, which includes national adhesive and sealant associations and direct company members, carried out a thorough review of FEICA's structure, processes, resources and activities. The primary objective was to ensure that FEICA is optimised to: Deliver more value to its members. The European Business Board developed six strategic drivers, along with preliminary objectives for each of them. Contribute to balanced legislation and enable our members to comply. Support the development of industry representation at EU and national levels. Encourage and assist the adoption of sustainability principles, and communicate the industry’s contribution to sustainable development.
